Yes i did but i didint do the welding .At first i could only find 6063 square tube alum in south africa and it lasted about 4 months and i had a small accident my back weel hit a tree and both pieces alum on the cradle broke(6063)So i imported 6061 t6 alum from roostus maximus on the 500 sites and i can onestly say it is bullet proof now .love my af i must just sent my barrel to bvh because my 86 steely is killing my af .cheers
