Ok my cousins headgaket on hes Rgv 250 popped and the coolant got into the cylinder hence seized it....
On closer inspection i saw hes poer valve had been eaten away, hes bike had been runnng very lean....Hence the cock up....
So we want to find out where can we get a set of good powervalves prefferably for both cylinders....
Also im going to twist hes arm to get it ported aswell....
The barrel needs to be re nickelsealed... can anybody recomend someone???
And while the motor is open is there anything else we should look for???

NSC Cylinders done a LTR for me lately, no complains.
I know there was a compony that sell aftermarket good 'cheaper' valves, will try to find out for you. The Suzuki valves are insanely expensive!! VJ21, 22, 23?? Just curious.
Its a VJ21...Yea we got a couple of prices round R1250 a valve....
Hes bike is stock....what HP do they kick out so when he sends you hes jugs...we know what to do for porting....
Hes still got the stock pipes...any recomendations on pipes.
Hes pld man is going to give him R7000 to fix it...so lets see if we can help...

Vj21 was one of the less restictive models. Vj21 88-89 where 58hp, vj22 where more restrictive they where from 44-52hp, vj 23 63hp beast.
Prieska is between upington and Kimberley.
Dud then you dont stay that far from my hometown....Klerksdorp.....Go there every second w-end....How far are you from kimberley???? Kimberley is about two hours drive from klerkdorp....
What do you think of just reboring the cylinders and not renickelsealing them...???Or you think he should jus renickelseal them....???
No just checked on a map source you stay round 500km from me i reckon....A tad far.... gota make a w-end of it....
2 hours to Kimberley. Will be in Kby next weekend for a day to get some stuff. I would re-nickasel it. I like nickasel! No reboring, just new pistons and rings when rebuilding. Off cause you have to inspect the bore and if any damage, re-nickasel.
What about NS 2 stroke, I think they do nicasil plating? What I did on my TZR 250 - 3ma - I had cast iron sleeves put in, then ran Tzr 125 pistons, size were the same as the 3ma ( they were not flat top pistons though), but they were just made for cast iron sleeves. Bike ran like a beast, a 400 4 stroke will not catch you ( Maybe the ns400r that I had could catch it - pity I couldn't get spares for it).

NS 2-stroke don't do the plating and sleeving in house. They send it out and are rediculis expensive with sleeving.. I spoke to them on Friday.. The qote where DOUBLE of the other 2!
