This is what happened to my sons axle carrier on his shee on our trip to oranjemund.
My question is is it worth the effort to try and fix it or to get second hand one or must i rather get a better aftermarket axle carrier???
Any input will be apreciated.Thanks.
After this i am going to replace my bearings on my shee before the same happens to me.What else is important that needs to be relaced while i am busy???
Jip, bad bearings. You have to do the seals too. Obviously. LOL. Just for the heck. Check your swing arm pivot bearings. Could also be shot.
If you want to go aftermarket bearing carrier, your best is to do it with a roundhouse swing arm. Big $$$$.
perhaps go 2nd hand carrier if you can find one, jus replace all bearings and seals again
we change bearings every year no matter what condition, easy when you know the part number at your local SKF dealer LOL
i'd love to mod the original carrier and put double bearings in just for the hell of it
if you have the banshee manual check their procedure on how to tighten the axle, just for reminder sake

Yes, that what I am going to do when I replaced mine next time, also had the idea, going to mod it for 2 extra bearings like the 450s...

I only go onto this idea with the Honda/Roundhouse style carrier. I will soon replace my std swinger and bearing carrier with a +4 Roundhouse. Bearing carrier to have a dual row bearing each side. Most of them come like that anyway.

You can also just buy the roundhouse ali piece and fit it onto the old swinger and extend it if you like...
Thought about it. If it wasn't for Cascade, I would have done it long ago. LOL
