Is there a difference in handling performance between the +2+1 and the +2 a-arms or the +3
I know that the +2+1 is 1cm longer than the just +2 a-arms but is the one better then the other one or is it a matter of what type of riding you want to do?
Is it better to get the a-arm that is 1cm longer????
I would rather go for the +2+1 arms. Much more stable then just the +2. I think the +1/2/3 is in inches.
lots of feedback wrt widening the front end will include issues around bumpsteer (shock feedback thru the bars if you hit small rocks) but i thnk mostly due to having only spacers fitted. not really changing the pivot point in effect
my personal opinion is go for it, i had a std set of a-arms cut and rejoined with 2inches of solid and shouldered steel for strength and loved it!
ps: i stand to be corrected but the +2+1 for a-arms, doesnt that mean +2 wider and +1 fwd? (longer sweep forward from the frame mounting pts)?
i can understand on the +2+1 axle that it means overall its +2 inches wider and then has an adjustable +1 inch to set if needed with a spacer ring on the hub?

Sorry i should have said +2+1 a-arms is 2inches wider and 1 inche forward while the +2 a-arms is just 2 inches wider.
Thats why i was asking if there is any differance in handling between the two a-arms.

Correct. That is why I stated that it is more stable than +2's. It covers a larger floor area.

Thanks BSA youve answered my question.
No probs. U going to buy from B?
The +2 +1 is not a good choice for MX or high jumps, ja, most of us don't do it with the banshee, earlier years mx and racers moaned because the banshee nose dive in the air, and the +1 forward just make it worse, but it has steering advantages also.. But +2 or +3 alone would be my choice, if I had to buy again.. The 450s is a different story..
