Haha so im not alone!
Not so easy, because the a-arm is configured as a triangle, you can't just add a section of pipe into each leg of the arm.

The best way would be to carefully cut-off the old ball joint and weld in a female threaded socket that will accept a new automotive style ball joint. At least M16.
Tie-rods for Nissan 1400 or Mazda B series bakkies work well, but you would still be required to machine the shaft of the new ball joint to fit the taper of the banshee spindle.

Depending on the length of the socket, you could gain an inch per side easy, plus have adjustable camber.

There's a thread on the BHQ in the suspension forum, go check it out.

skarabat, sorry bout the mail not sending, i tried again this morning and nothing, so i'll try here and try explain a bit

like JJ sed, its a triangle so u can just add a piece to lengthen, but the guy who did mine actually did that, think he made up some sort of jig to keep all the lengths and mounting points right, it worked thats all i know LOL

heres a pic or two with the basic piece (in red) shown that was pressed in and welded. obviously it was two different sizes per upper and lower a-arm
forgive the state of the shee, it was going thru its make-over........ Big Grin
Ahh i cant view that file
aaaargh, no power point on my pc
try these Wink
thanks!
the shock location has also changed on those, how did it handle?
sorry, forgot to mention that too, beefed up the support plate too.
it was on the green shee that i raced, handled very well, even better wen i added the yfz hubs n calipers

oh and never did mx with it, i worried bout the ball joints.........
