Howzit guys, ive bn riding quite alot of mx lately and i got a question bout the gearing. . .ok wel wheneva i come into a corner at the rite speed my revs are 2 low to get out fast and if i gear down they 2 high and im 2 slow in the corner. Also when i hit jumps my revs are very high when im at the rite speed but if i gear up then i cant blip the throtle as a launch to get the bike level. Now should i get a smaller front sprocket so that i can go 1 gear higher but keep my revs or must i go 1 bigger and stay in the same gear with slightly lower revs than at the gears rev limit?
You can work with the rear sprocket too. 1Front tooth = 3 Rear. So if a 14 front 41 rear gets you through the corner too low rpm and 13-41 too high, consider changing to 14-42 or 14-43. That will be an in between rpm.
