Hi guys...

I have done some more testing with my serval...
I am running short intakes and this way the stock air box will fit and be in its stock location, except a little higher (10mm) in front... I had to make one simple mod... I had to cut the one corner round and drill a new hole for a 4mm bolt and nut to clear the left pipe, this is due to the fact that the air box sits 10mm higher, and the reason for that is that the manifolds are angled to make the carbs clear the clutch arm... There is about 5mm between the carbs and air box... You need to remove the air box for jetting... It sounds massive, but if you need to jet, remove your rear fender and it only take 2 minutes to remove the box...
I want to run a air box, I use my bikes for trails and off road riding... After the X2S wet roads, my bike got water and it did not went well... So I decided to dumb it and sacrifice even more top end..

I have said in the past, air box makes a motor much smoother down low and it makes jetting easier... Guess what... On the average of 4 runs, the airbox bike with 35mm pwks make more power down low and starts making power earlier then the pods... The motor is honestly super crisp down low!

My best run is about 77hp, which is 6hp less then what the "top end" setup will offer and about 1000rpm higher rpm I am giving up... But, the low end grunt is HONESTLY unbelievable... Its a stout motor down low, with no power valves! Trust me I LOVE it... Yes I love top end, but I still have 77hp and I had big time shifting issues under load... So this is my choice of motor for what I want to do... If I need to go dragging some buddies, I will run my pods and shearers...
I will also build a set of new stinger for my shearers to run with air box!!

Now the dyno graph you see is the PC pipes 35mm carbs with K&N filter in stock airbox... 2 runs, one with a modified lid, which makes less power and one with no lid at all... You can see how the lid makes the motor immediatly rich and loose some power... I have modified the lid even more, I know I can just keep it off, but I want the lid on there lol.... So its flowing enough now!

Next weekend is the anual Knysna hill climb on the Simola hill where all kinds of cars from old classics to 1000hp skylines & supercharged v8's will be competing for the fastest time up the hill in their repective classes. I'm pretty excited but here's the catch...myself and a friend have been asked to intertain the spectators for 10 minutes on the hill while the final score's are calculated. He is riding a yz250 and I will be on my banshee. The idea of riding infront of 1000's of people makes me shiver in my riding boots.

How can I be the most intertaiing without falling my gat aff infront of lots of peeps. I can wheelie pretty well I think/hope but any other ideas?? I NEED HELP, must work out a 10min rutine in 4days.

Thanks guys.

Hi guys

Haven't been on the site for a very long time.
I have a very interesting subject to contemplate. FUEL INJECTION.
Can't seem to find anything on it in the threads. There is alot of it on youtube and such but not very informative.

My Questions:
Is this a viable thing to do for a shee?
Has anybody experimented with it and do they have results?
One of the biggest problems with it is getting the 2-stroke in the cylinders. I can't see a pair of injectors liking the oil going through them for long.
This can be done on Blasters with the pump. What solutions do we have for banshees?
I have an amazing product when it comes to the ECU, so control isn't an issue.

Any info would be highly appreciated.

Hi Guys....

I am trying different head designs on my CR... I am currently trying something lots of CR guys claim would not work, but I really want to see for myself...

Stock head is a 18mm wide squish width cut @ 18 degrees... and about 66cc.. I think squish is aroung 2mm stock..

This head came off my motor... (One on the left)
10mm wide band, 65cc with 1.5mm squish gap cut at stock angle...

New I made today is on the right...
Wider squish width then the first one, VERY tight squish gap at a smaller squish angle and 61.5cc

Dyno will tell!! Trying to get more torque!

The piston crown

Ons boere is ons taamlik gvol vir ongediertes... Ons lammers word op gevang en mense besef nie hoe ernstig dit is nie... Tussen my en my buurman verloor ons about 600 lammers n jaar... Dis R500 000+

PC vs Shearers

I have done my absolute best dialling these pipes in to get the maximum power out of them... I tunned them for as close to 13:1 as I can... The shearer ended up 13:1 and the PCs a tad to lean @ 13.2:1 on one run...

I had 1.5 days with the shearers on my bike on the dyno and about a whole day with the PCs with 33s and 35mm carbs...
Unfortunatly I did not test the Shearers with 33s, I believe they would also gain a tad down low with the 33s...

By no means am I a PC freak to you that think so... I love these pipes for my type of riding... I can make MORE money selling a set of Shearers... You will be your own judge...

Shearer advantage: Rev about 850 rpm higher.... And about 3hp stronger on top...

PC advantage: More max torque then the shearers and deliver it down low + more low end power...

We heard from many that the PC will choke the servals, you will be the judge...

My opinion:
Top end runs, drag etc: Shearers
Trails and even dunning for me: PCs

The PC motor felt much smoother and you can clearly feel the low down power.. Is so much more forgiving...
The shearer motor does rev higher and you can feel the over rev, its something way different... Would be awesome in drags I bet...! Even dunning or even trails for those who want to ...

My choice: PC for what I do...!

This is the best power runs from the Shearers dialled in 35mm carbs

Red: 33mm PC
Green: 35mm PC
Blue: 35mm Shearers

We all know this will never be settled! Some would say add this to the shearers or that to the PCs...
You can question the Dyno Hardeware as you want... The proof is right here... This is also going to US engine builders that knew I was going to do this test...
